Not sure what they will turn out like but he seems to be getting on ok (no worrying sounds coming from the kitchen)

Good for him

I'll bet they'll turn out lovely. And he'll be so proud.

I am making pancakes with my ds ~ he cracked an egg and it shot right into his eye and down his top!

I'm doing the same! DD is making marble fairy cakes. She's huffing and puffing about something, but I refuse to get up and assist. She is 14 though, so she needs to work it through herself imho!

Sounds fab

I can't wait until my DC can bake for me - more excuses to eat more cake!

s'ok. You can pressure wash the kitchen later

differentID · 05/09/2009 13:47

hello jks- long time, no?

Lilyloo · 05/09/2009 13:51

I have just put them in the oven
He even realised he had picked the wrong flour and changed it

Now to get him to clear away

Brilliant of him to realize that he'd got the wrong flour and change it (I don't like to ask at what stage). My 9 year-old DD has just started baking unsupervised except for taking out of the oven - the results are great, she hurries much less than I do . It's stimulated me to tidy scruffy kitchen cupboards so that she can find and reach stuff more easily.

diffID - helloooo

Lily - how do they taste???

Lilyloo · 05/09/2009 19:10

That's good, but not a definitive result. Have you eaten one?!

Lilyloo · 05/09/2009 21:50

I will maybe .... tommorrow ?

I ate one of DD's, they were lovely. Didn't get a look in on the rest. They were made for the party she's at tonight! Charming! And there's me thinking she was making them for her family!
