Recipes with apple as I have loads!

Hi! I'm an aspiring but novice cook and we have 4 established apple trees in our garden (we moved here last October) which have produced loads of apples.
I can do a basic stewed apple, apple crumble, apple pie and baked apple but was wondering if anyone had any other recipes I could do? Is there such a thing as apple cake or apple biscuits or anything else you have that will be yummy and will use them up!

Pork and Apple casserole.

Can be frozen in portions so you don't have to eat it staright away of the weather is too warm for casseroles.

Pork steaks or diced pork (enough for however many you are feeding)
2 large apples peeled and cored then diced.
4 rashers of bacon chopped.
1 large onion finely chopped.
Two medium carrots finely diced
6 or 7 mushrooms washed and sliced
1 can/bottle of decent cider
1 pint of veg/chicken stock
1 small tub of creme fraiche
salt and pepper to taste
good handful of fresh sage or 1.5 tespoons of dried sage

Brown the pork in a heavy bottomed pan then set asided.
Throw in the onion and the bacon, fry slowly to colour.
Add in the rest of the veg and continue to cook for a further couple of minutes. If needed you can add a spoonful of stock to prevent sticking.
Add a tblespn of plain flour and stir then pour in the cider.
Stir for a few minutes.
Tip the lot into a casserole dish with the pork. Add enough stock to generously cover everything and stir in the sage.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bung in oven on 180 for 2 hours.
10 mins before taking out, add in a good two or three spoons of creme fraiche, stir well.

Serve with green veg and baked or mashed potatoes.

There are plenty of apple cake recipes around. I often just make up a sponge and layer apple slices on the bottom of the tin before baking.

You can peel and chop up apples and freeze in bags - that way you don't have to make up your mind now!

This Apple Traybake is also lovely, warm, with custard

Apple jelly is quite simple to make but you do need jars, a heavy pan and something to strain it in (I've heard that you can use an old clean pillowcase)

i have recipes for apple cake and spicey apple muffins

you say you like apple crumble etc...i like to stew and freeze the fruit for quick crumbles on another occasion

i also do spiced apple chutney that's fab!
