cheese and potato pie ???

make mash, mix it with grated cheese and lightly fried onions then put it in an oven dish, grate more cheese on top and pop in the oven for 15 minutes.

That's what I call cheese & pot pie anyway.

Add leeks to make it more interesting.

Is gorgeous with baked beans

I made something similar last night from my Dinner Lady cook book and it was lovely...

make enough mash for everyone and put into an overproof dish... boil 1 egg per person , peel and slice and put over potato... then make half pint cheese sauce and pour over... stick in oven for 20 mins... we had it with brocolli and it was really nice...

Do the cheese & potatoe pie with sweet potatoe and serve with beans for very clean plates

I make it the same as fisil and it is yummy. Sometimes I even add some chopped up cooked bacon as well and serve with baked beans. In fact I think we will have it tomorrow for tea cos it's 'make a quick tea day' tomorrow.
