anyone been to one of these? I've been asked to bring 'interesting nibbles'.

Any suggestions?

Mini Samosas, Bhajis, Pakoras etc (cook from frozen from most Supermarkets)

Actually - go to freezer dept of local supermarket and rummage Aldi or Lidl will have different (interesting) selection.

Or Delia's Christmas Book has fancy party nibbles if you want to cook from scratch yourself.
