my sis said the curry ones wer enice. now my sis is a darn good prof chef, but has a weakness for bland mass produced food it times.

i duly bought a packet, for a snack type lunch, and did what it said inthe packet.

yuck, i had a totally rigid yet jelly like clump of jellified worms. totally rank!!!

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2009 16:57

Microwave!

nappyzoneisback · 27/08/2009 16:59

StirlingTheTired · 27/08/2009 17:25

If you boil - keep stirring!

lepirate · 27/08/2009 19:16

stubbyfingers · 27/08/2009 19:19

How can you not manage super noodles?!

bring water to the boil.
add sachet.
add noodles.
simmer for 4 minutes.
your noodles are super

lepirate · 27/08/2009 19:35

even on the hob?

IUsedToBePeachy · 27/08/2009 20:11

I looooove super noofdles

at thsi time of year DH disappears a few times for the evenings for a few weeks and I am likely to indulge once or twice once the boys have been fed with real food

I always cook for less time- quite low heat 3 minutes or so to avoid slimation (my new word of the day)

Hormonesnomore · 27/08/2009 20:31

Oh, I love super noodles too.

I don't know how long to cook them, but DD microwaves them to perfection. Mmmmmm.

EyeballsintheSky · 27/08/2009 20:32

Boiling water, break noodles into a bowl and add sachet. Pour water and microwave for 6 minutes. Eat in between two slices of white bread and butter. Heaven! Mmmmmmm

fishie · 27/08/2009 20:37

supernoodle sandwich!?

nappyzoneisback · 27/08/2009 20:58

eyeballs - thats a gruesome image!!

mummytopebs · 27/08/2009 21:36

Are super noodles really that bad for dc anyway (Please dont make me get the hard hat out)

I give them to my dd but i dont put the flavouring in, i then add chicken, sweetcorn and cherry tomatoes - Quick and easy tea. Is this wrong?

lyraSilvertongue · 27/08/2009 21:45

Mummytopebs, they're hugely calorific, which I assume is from fat. Poss saturated fat. My DC do have them occasionally though.
OP, you will get hard/mushy bits if you don't stir.

lyraSilvertongue · 27/08/2009 21:47

500+ calories per pack, 12g of saturated fat. Yikes!

lyraSilvertongue · 27/08/2009 21:49

Nearly 24g of fat overall in one packet . Ingredients include palm oil (trans fats), MSG and other nasties. DSs won't be having them again.

EyeballsintheSky · 27/08/2009 21:50

No, don't tell me that. I thought they were only pasta type things; never read the packet

lyraSilvertongue · 27/08/2009 21:54

I used to enjoy them too. Won't be able to now.

milknosugarplease · 27/08/2009 22:20

HOW MUCH FAT/CALORIES!?!?!

maybe its a good thing i cant get them right!??

stubbyfingers i know its quite shameful!

tho i do make a mean rissoto.....just not a 40p backet of freeze dried noodles!!!!

hmm!
