My dd's only started having packed lunches last term as I've always insisted on school dinners. However they've finally persuaded me to let them have them from now on, but they've never had them in the winter before. I don't like the idea of them just having a cold meal, so wondered about sending them in with soup or pasta maybe in a flask. I've been keeping my eye's peeled for a wider flask that you could put say pasta in, but haven't seen anything like this, does such a thing exist?
I'm also not to sure if I'm going to give them food poisoning if the hot food is sitting in a flask all morning, will it be safe? will it still be hot? Am I being too ambitious or should I just stick to soup and a sandwhich? What else could I give them?
