I'm going to stick up for Asda, and say it's OK here! I've had some disgusting meat from butchers before - supposedly reputable, long established ones - who don't give out refunds like Asda do. I'd go back and complain - you'll get your money back.

We had homemade fish pie for dinner tonight - was lovely, if I do say so myself

LGJ · 29/05/2005 22:19

Gwenick

Until DS goes to school and I stop financing my CM's DH brand new Merc, the pennies are eyewateringly tight here too, so we only have butcher meat, maybe once a month to every six weeks, in the mean time we eat a lot of chicken and fish.

Gwenick · 29/05/2005 23:18

we can't even afford it that infreqeuntly at the moment.......won't be long though (hopefully) and I'll be ordering lots of stuff from here shopping at the butchers and using teh farmers market

hunkermunker · 29/05/2005 23:19

Gwenick, how much are fags these days? (Howzat for inflammatory?)

what fags???? Did you not see my thread the other night !!!!

JoolsToo · 29/05/2005 23:20

as long as it didn't have any pellets in it

hunkermunker · 29/05/2005 23:21

Gwenick! Are you telling me what I think you are?!

No, didn't see the thread of which you speak - lemme at it!

LGJ · 29/05/2005 23:21

"Knowing" HM, like I think do, yes she saw your thread, be kind to her, she is with child

hunkermunker · 29/05/2005 23:22

JT, I shoot all my meat myself, and catch all my fish too. Means I don't have any time to spend with DS, but at least my conscience is clear I'll teach him to shoot when he's 2.5 and we'll all go on family outings to poach pheasant - it'll be such fun!

Gwenick · 29/05/2005 23:22

yep - I sure am...........can't find the thread - title something like "right this is it" (I think LOL)........had a slip up on Thursday and smoked a whole pack of 10 - but going well (so far).

LGJ · 29/05/2005 23:22

HM

Make a liar of me, why don't you

hunkermunker · 29/05/2005 23:22

LGJ, nice try, but no cigar this time

Gwenick · 29/05/2005 23:22

hunker - should teach him to hunt properly, with a spear and all that!! my DH can come and help teach him if you like

hunkermunker · 29/05/2005 23:23

Gwenick, I am very proud of you (except for Thursday, but I'll overlook that ) - fantabulous!

LGJ - drink your cherryade, there's a love

hunkermunker · 29/05/2005 23:24

Now, there's a plan, Gwenick! Yes, a two-year-old with a spear - doesn't sound remotely dangerous.
