My MIL is looking for a recipe for redcurrant jus, but I can't find one in any of my cook books at all. Think she said it is to serve with lamb shanks.

Does anyone have one please?

A jus is normally the cooking juices, unthickened. If she is cooking lamb shanks they would normally be braised with wine, stock etc. She then needs to remove the meat and rapidly boil the liquid until it has reduced and is a bit syrupy. She can then stir in redcurrant jelly ( and fresh redcurrants if required), season and serve. good luck!
