I am trying to empty my freezer and found a bag of chopped up carrot, pumpkin, potatoe and onions so I have thrown it into some frozen stock with the intention of making soup. But what herbs/spices can I add to help the flavour along - I have nothing like cream to add to it. I was planning on whizzing in food processor but am now stuck - any ideas welcome. Thanks.

You won't need herbs IMO

I make a pumpkin soup using those ingredients, I just add some milk when i add the stock and it goes lovely and creamy

Ok that's an easy idea and I have milk. Thanks

a grating of nutmeg will go well though

Also have nutmeg - that's also a good idea.
