Best before date question

My ds loves the mini satays they sell on the Indian takeaway counter at my local ASDAs. I bought him some to have for his tea last night, but completely forgot about them, as he said he wanted Spiderman spaghetti!! My question is, the best before sticker says they should have been eaten yesterday. Do you think it would be OK for him to have them tonight or should I chuck them? They have been refridgerated all the time btw. Thanks

Is it "Best Before" or "Use By"? Personally, I'd say that they're probably fine - there must be some leeway as an item that was OK at 23:59 one day won't have gone off by 00:01 the next.

I often use certain things a few days past their date, things where you can easily tell if they're off like vegetables, milk etc.

Just had a look at it says 'Use by', just seems unusual that you have to eat it on the day of purchase!!

Nutjob, just give him them.... It's character building to have him puking and sh*tting for 2 days.

Seriously though - I'd just make sure they are heated well.

I come up against this problem quite a lot as I'm always buying food I forget about!!! In my experience a day out is absolutely fine.

I'm so relieved to say she's fine - back to her normal self. I'm still a bit shaky though but she's been giving me lots of cuddles and kisses. Just waiting for today's drama to unfold... there's always something! In fact, it'll probably be your DS with food poisioning!!
