Cream teas - advice please!

I am organising a cream tea afternoon, and am a little stuck on quantities.

How many scones each - one? Two?

How much clotted cream per scone? Will a 225g (8oz) tub do 8-10 people, or is that stingy?

Would love your opinins, please!

I'd do 1.5 each - there will be some people who'd like another. And get two tubs of clotted cream - 225g for 10 is not enough.

If there is cake/sandwiches as well, then one, if the only thing, then 2.

I think that you need an ounce of cream per scone - nothing worse than stingy amounts of cream.

You might want to provide whipped (real not aerosol) cream too - some people prefer it

Thanks for you help.

It's actually a work Open Day (I work for a charity), and we have about 70 people coming. Which is more than I originally planned for, and now I'm getting a bit stressed about it!

I agree re: not being stingy with cream...and if I buy too much, I can always use it myself...
