What temp shall I leave it for if I'm going off for about 2hrs?
I was thinking of 120?

(its a shepherd pie type thing with mince and layered sliced pots on top in a casserole with lid on, if it helps)

120 seems fine - but not sure if this will be enough to cook it iykwim. Maybe a bit hotter - 140? I know from a fire safety POV you're not supposed to do this, but honestly, if I didn't we never eat in this house!

Thanks!
I'll do 140

I need it cooked for when I get back. I know its not meant to be good and I would normally use a slow cooker but couldn't get organised early enough today.

is it fan?
i do 140 for hours

VelvetCushions · 13/08/2009 14:16

Its not the fan - its the top oven as the fan one isn't working.

So 140 for 2 hrs should be ok?
I can turn it up for 1/2 an hr or so when I get back but am hoping it will be cooked.
