how can i stop fruit going brown???

i asm going on a picnic with ds tomorrow for my nieces school, hes only 8 months and dairy intolerent so i was going to do a box of fruit for him to nibble at, i need to make it in the mornig for lucnh time though, can i do banannas and apples and pears without them going brown does anyone know if this is possible, also other picnic ideas for him thanks xxx

mix some lemon juice with water and put the fruit in it.

You can stop apples and pears from going brown by dipping them in lemon juice after you slice them. I wouldn't think you could stop banana slices going brown though.

take the banana whole and cut it up when you need it

Don't put the banana in. Bananas ripen other fruits so you should always keep them seperate out of your fuit bowl anyway. The lemon thingy works
