I love the spaghettini with prawns, rocket and chilli....and the breakfast bars are hubby's favourite so I make them weekly. I also love the coq au reisling.......

janeite · 31/07/2009 22:56

Blackberry crisp is fab.

Rindercella · 31/07/2009 22:58

This is a Nigella recipe, not sure if it is one of her Express ones though. Boil up some linguini, fry pancetta in garlic oil, chop up some parsley. Mostly drain the pasta leaving a bit of the cooking water back, stir in pancetta, remaining oil, parsley & add a bit of the water. Serve with lots of black pepper. Delicious

Spaghettini is one of my staples . The others sound delicious too.

That recipe sorta sums up nigella for me.

Seasoned pasta with oil, garlic and bacon. Even when I couldn't cook, I could make that

Rindercella · 31/07/2009 23:23

Yep - it's yum. Quick, easy & tasty. What's not to like?

stubbyfingers · 01/08/2009 09:52

definitely the coq au reisling, yuuuuum very easy and works in the slow cooker too

stubbyfingers · 01/08/2009 09:53

prosecco, what else have you tried? I'm in the mood for something new.

Prosecco · 01/08/2009 10:39

I love the lamb chops with the olives and chilli.

chocolate and pear sponge pudding - has become an almost weekly Sunday dinner favourite in this house

dairymoo · 03/08/2009 20:50

Prawn & mango curry is a quick supper that we eat at least once a fortnight...
Ginger & passionfruit trifle is always my dinner party standby pudding now!
The black bean and chicken salad is Absolutely Delicious...Coq au Riesling...Breakfast bars...the squid ink spaghetti and red snapper one...sesame noodles - I love everything in that book!!

KellyDD · 07/08/2009 13:27

I love lots of her recipes but I really like her one for potato cakes with smoked salmon for the health factor, but then I like salmon, fishcakes, potatoes etc so its perfect for me!:

I also like this recipe that is quite similar and good for a quick lunch and its low in calories though its not from Nigella's Express:

mini meatloaves are a staple in this house.
choc and pear pud for visitors!
Moonblush salad - I made this at the w/e to go with lasagne and it was lovely.
Ice cream cake is yummy too and great for the children to help make.
Quesidillas (?sp)

Bit of a fan of her recipes but sadly can't watch her anymore - like nails down a blackboard.

stiginthedumps · 07/08/2009 14:45

White chocolate mousse is an absolute winner.

Also love the lamb shank recipe.

Can't remember what else.

cupofteaplease · 07/08/2009 15:55

We have the prawn and mango thai curry a lot

pagwatch · 07/08/2009 15:58

The rocky road has become a favorite weekend ritual. we make a tray before the children go to school on the MOnday and they eat it as snack or pudding. They can pretty much do it themselves now too which is nice
It is so easy and really delicious

jules2906 · 07/08/2009 19:57

Lamb ragu is my absolute favourite,

The peanut sundae sauce thingy is also gorgeous if a bit indulgent

misshardbroom · 08/08/2009 19:29

The noodle thing for lunches is nice.

Also the chocolate puddings in the Italian section are easy peasy and look really pretty.

This week we went camping so I had a go at her ready made pancake mix. Worked like a charm and really popular with the family, even pancake-hating DD.

poshsinglemum · 08/08/2009 22:03

The chocolate pear sponge pudding is yummy!
