Hi, I tried to make vegetable crisps tonight and mucked up in a big way...smoke detectors accompanying my mad flapping of arms.
How do you make them?
I used a peeler to slice up butternut squash and carrot, sprayed them with oil and laid them on a baking tray, and stuck them in an oven - heres where I definitely went wrong - on gas mark 8.

Please can someone give me a dummy's guide to making vegetable crisps?
