Chocolate Biscuit Recipe

Hi I am looking for a chocolate biscuit/cookie recipe that I can make for my DC to use animal shaped cutters with.

Any ideas???

I have a gorgeous one that I got from another MNetter - I'll post it tomorrow if you can wait that long (although guess you're not baking with your daughter at 10.15pm )

That would be great, I have found a recipe but would love to see your gorgeous one, if you don't mind. DD is all tucked up in bed which is where I am off to now if I can tear myself away from MN, Hoping to do some baking tomorrow. Thanks

300g plain flour
150g caster sugar
250g butter
2 tsp vanilla essence
pinch salt
1 large egg yolk
2 tblsp cocoa powder

beat butter + sugar, add egg yolk, salt,vanilla. Then add flour and cocoa powder mix to smooth dough, wrap in cling film and leave in fridge or freezer until cold (30min in fridge)
shape into biscuits and bake at 160 degC (fan oven) for 10-12 mins
