Pressure cookers - are they any good?

My au pair says everyone in Spain has a pressure cooker and uses is for everything - they cook food fast and save energy. Do you have one, do you use it, do you love it?

My mum still has the one she got at her wedding in 1969!

She swears by it and would be lost without it

The thing I wouldn't be without is my slow-cooker.
