Does anyone have a receipe for making shortbread please ?

As the title says really. I want to make some in the hols with ds and dd.

I'm a rubbish shortbread maker. I think the Sue Lawrence recipe is best, but I've lent the book to a friend. I can't find her recipe on the internet, but no doubt someone will be along shortly with their granny's failsafe recipe.

You're not having much luck! I found this one on the internet, and I think it's probably the most authentic one. And it looks quite easy too! I might try it myself.

Easy peasy recipe I use with DCs - from my childhood Ladtbird cooking book

150g (6oz) plain flour
100g (4 oz) butter
50g (2 oz) sugar

Sift flour into bowl, add rest, rub in with fingers and then knead until firm.

Ladybird cooking book, of course!
