How long do you leave leftovers in the fridge?

Hi all, quick question, how long do you leave left-overs in the fridge? We usually eat the next day, but just wondering if anyone stretches this to the third night? Have a chicken pie I made last night, we're eating out tonight and I'm not sure if it'll still be good to finish off Sat night?? Sometimes I freeze left-overs, but not sure if I can reheat home-made chicken pie from frozen (not defrosted)?

Is that actually two questions?? TIA

My rule of thumb is if it smells funny dont eat it. And thats it, I dont count the days. No harm has come to anyone yet!

Id say what you were doing was only 2days thats what I do. Yesterday you made it so it was fresh, today will be 24hrs, tomorrow 48hrs. You could re-heat home made pie but pastry might go a bit funny in th microwave, tuff or just yuck!

I once re-heated prawn toast in the microwave and it was vile!

Thx all for the advice. Had said pie on Sat. night and it was fine
