Hi,
I've got to make a cake tomorrow and I stupidly left it until the last minute to get ingredients. Anyway, I need caster sugar, but the shop is out of stock - what happens if i use granulated? Will it make much difference?

It just won't rise quite as much...but there shouldn't be a massive difference.

You can make you own caster if you have agrinder thingy,.

No difference I always use granulated as cant be bothered to pay the extra.

You can turn granulated into caster but putting in a blender and blending slightly. Go too far and you get icing sugar.

If use gran u need to beat til fluffy more then would with caster. but if using blender to make no issue.
