I am hopefully going to be making a car cake for my ds's 3rd bday & i have not got a clue,i bought a cheap icing bag from tescos & just had a go & its rubbish!

If anyone can reccommend a good reasonably priced icing set i would be very grateful, thanks.

why not just spread buttercream all over then use icing tubes for detail? oh and a variety of sweets always look good, eg strawberry laces, smarties, jelly tots etc.

I have a tin i just need to find a decent recipe for buttercream & a decent icing set to decorate it,the tin had a sheet inside it that says to dot the cake all over with star shaped nozzle.
