Am I going mad? Which Nigella book has the Clementine Cake in it?

I know I have made the Clementine Cake before. The one with almonds and no flour.

I only have two Nigella books and I can't find the recipe in either.

And yes, I know the recipe is online but my printer is up the creek and I am just so sure I have the recipe in a book. But I don't...

How To Eat I think.

Oh.

I don't have How To Eat.

How odd.

I have Forever Summer and Domestic Goddess.

Must be going mad after all .

www.nigella.com/recipe/recipe_detail.aspx?rid=20002

Hope that works

SoupDragon · 11/07/2009 16:52

Definitely How To Eat.

HuffwardlyRudge · 11/07/2009 18:23

Righty. Will copy it out by hand (by which I mean myther at dh until he fixes the printer).

Thanks all.

Oh wait, another question; I think I did it as a pudding. Would it work as a cake for tea?

Sorry! (insert stupid lady emoticon!)

Hope it was yummy.

Simples · 12/07/2009 11:24

its vile
bitter and horrible

HuffwardlyRudge · 12/07/2009 11:27

Are you sure you made it right Simples?

OP posts:
Simples · 12/07/2009 11:28

yes
i think its leaving the skin on

Pinner35 · 12/07/2009 13:57

Simples - I'm with you, I thought it was horrible.

HuffwardlyRudge · 12/07/2009 14:00

I liked it. Although having seen it's a six egg recipe I think my friends might have to put up with less fancy cake. [stingy]

Id rather have a nice plan VS anyday

FaintlyMacabre · 12/07/2009 19:55

I think the problem is that clementines can be hit and miss, and you don't know until you peel them whether they've got much flavour or not. Of course, by the time you've boiled it for an hour it's a bit late...

JustineMumsnet · 14/07/2009 00:28

Sure you didn't leave the pips in Simples? Mine's always delicious .
