Thought the fishcakes went out of date today...but it was yesterday

Can I still cook and eat them? It was a use by, not a best before.
TIA

I'd probably use them - do they smell/look ok?

I regularly use stuff out of date, and we are all alive

Trouble is...fish cakes smell sort of fishy...! So a bit hard to tell!

You'll be fine - Food doesn't suddenly go rotten at one minute past midnight on the 'use by' day
