I am making this cake for visitors tomorrow morning. I want to do as much as I can tonight - how far along the recipe can I go??

I would make it all but save the sugar or glaze until morning.

I don't want to bake it - it's already 11pm here and I can't be up for another hour! (dd will want feeding at 2am, and 4, and ...)

Well I'd stop at least before you whisk the eggs because if you whisk and then leave they wouldn't be as light.

I'd make the streusel topping and then measure the ingrediants out for the rest ready. Then is just a case of mixing them in morning. Also make up glaze if you're using that (though it might need good stir in morning).

whisk again before cooking then to make sure is airy.

oh yes, figured I would have to do that - expect some separation/setting overnight. thank you
