Dinner -
starter - rocket salad with roasted balsamic onions and pine nuts;
main - beef stew cooked by dp, with roast garlic baby new potatoes and steamed vege;
pud - can't remember - probably trifle!
cheese, grapes, celery, crackers.

Was cooking for chefs, so a bit 'more' than I'd normally do.

Time before that -

fatoush (pitta bread salad), taboulleh, hoummus, tsatsiki, veggie tagine, cous cous;
pud - icecream, honey and toasted almonds.

I am so glad you asked this question. Have been so super crap at entertaining this year and had tonnes to make up for. So dh and I had 20 for a super special bbq on Saturday night. It was a blast even if I say so myself and it didn't rain! Phew.

Starters : Brandade, Duck Rillette, Tsatsiki, Humus, chilli sausages and garlic chilli prawns.

Mains : Boneless chick thighs with coconut curry marinade, butterflied leg of lamb with prosciutto, anchovy and parsley rub, side of salmon with soy and wasabi glaze and rump of beef.
Served with chick pea/potato curry, coleslaw and tabouleh.

Pudd : Anglo Italian trifle from Nigella.

Cheese

Lemon possett is the easiest and most delicious pudding ever invented.

MummyDoIt · 23/06/2009 11:46

Had 10 over on Saturday for Spuds & Puds. I did jacket potatoes with a variety of topics. Each guest brought a pudding or cheese. Went down a treat!

janeite · 23/06/2009 17:26

Spuds and puds sounds great!

hullygully · 23/06/2009 17:28

Curries delivered. No cooking, no washing up, lots of wine.

glitterati · 17/09/2009 05:25

just found a fab new site. wots4supper.com
gives you seasonal menus planned for the week and best of all converts it into a shopping list for you to take to the supermarket

hippyck · 17/09/2009 08:44

Just found it, looks good it is actually wots4supper.co.uk. Gives you all your meals for the week and think my lot will like them by the looks of it with a shopping list and i can add the nappies to it too. Going to try it, I never know what to cook every night.

overmydeadbody · 17/09/2009 10:01

I cooked beef bourguignon with new potatoes.
