Nigellas raspberry jam

Has anybody made this from the domestic goddess book. You put the raspberries and sugar in the oven seperatley then mix them up( if I remember correctly).

If you've made it,did it work? Was it good? and would it work with strawberries instead of raspberries? or shall I just stick to the more traitional method of shoving it all in a pan.

I did make this a couple of years ago. It worked pretty well. Was quite runny, and very sweet, but I seem to recall I enjoyed it. I imagine it might not work as well with strawbs, just because they are a bit more robust than rasps IYSWIM. But perhaps if you chopped the strawbs up a little bit first? If it doesn't work, you'll just need some vanilla icecream to go with your strawberry sauce!
