Has anyone tried Nigella's quick ragu from the Express book? Is it nice with lamb instead of beef?

Not tried it but you've just reminded me of a really nice Nigella recipe with lamb mince (is it lamb mince that you've got?) Not sure whether it's in 'Express' or 'Summer' - it's called 'Greek Lamb' I think and it's made with Toms, Garlic, loads of oregano etc (so almost ragu-like) It's really really nice with brown rice and a crumbling of feta.............

sounds lovey gingertoo - this is with lamb mince, but I've never made it with lamb before and wondered if it would be odd

it's really nice - but don't use the garlic oil - I dry fry the pancetta and then add the lamb mince and add in a clove of garlic - I then drain off a LOT of fat before adding the other ingredients - I think it'd be far too greasy otherwise - It's a regular quick tea in our house and dh usually hates lamb!

This is a regular dish on our menu. I like it with the lamb. I have not managed to get the red onions in a jar so I just fry an onion to start with. I do use the garlic oil however - only because I have some!
