Urgent cake help needed, please :-)

Am making a carrot cake and am putting the mix into the tin. As I am using self raising flour how much space do I need to leave for the cake to grow. The tin is about 2 inches deep. Thanks, would appreciate any help as it's all ready to go!!!

needs to be about half as high as mixture -- put greaseproof paper round outside if need be...
