Can't get the consistency right

My DD has always been quite difficult to feed, if she doesn't wnat it she won't eat it. But I managed to find 1 thing that she would always eat 'fruity chicken', however after 4 weeks of it I decided to try her with some fish as she's never had it & she's 8 months old. So I made some cod with cheese & leek sauce, very nice it was but she took a couple fo spoons & then shuddered & refused anymore. I wonder if it's the consistency because whenever I make her food it seems to end up sticky after a night in the fridge. She doesn't like it hot & so by the time I've re-heated it & then it's cooled down it's sticky & gooey. I tried adding water or milk but then it just goes watery.
ANy suggestions?

Not much help from me but as you can see by the boards I'm very opinionated and throw my hat into nearly every thread.

My ds eats everything but my friends ds just won't. Takes her hours to feed him even a few mouthfuls. I think it's because he likes the sweet taste as he will always eat a yoghurt but not savoury stuff. He's getting better now but still has moments. He is 14 months. I know none of us want our children to have sweet tooths and eat healthy, organic and the right food but I don't know how many of us actually live up to that ideal. How about giving her savoury stuff but always mixing it with something sweet so ultimately she thinks she is eating sweet food as opposed to savoury. Therefore, add loads of sweet potato or apricots or things like that and slowly lessen it.

I don't think it's the consistency and in my opinion I believe some kids eat and others don't but they don't purposely starve themselves.

You know she's never eated anyhting I've cooked her. I love cooking & consider myslef a good cook so woudl love to cook for her & have her eat it, but after bowlfulls of food were thrown away & I had a good old girlie meltdown I decided to stop worrying & let her have fuity bloody chicken every single day but just thought while it was going good then throw some of mine in & hope she liked it, she didn't & so was hopping to blame the consitency but maybe you're right.
