Help! How do I cool down a Jambalaya? Far too hot

I have a family party tomorrow and for simplicity I thought I would make a large pot of Jambalaya. This was the first time I made it and I followed instructions and thought that it would have a kick to it but it would be ok. It has turned out to be rather too hot and may not be to everyone's taste.

I have read somewhere that with a curry you can add yogurt to cool it down, not sure that this will work with my dish as it is predominately meat and rice. Any ideas other than handing out large pitchers of water? Thanks in advance.

Why not have large pots of sour cream. That is what I do if a chilli is too hot. Works a treat and it is yum!

I wonder if you cook a little more rice with just stock and mix it in it will help dispel the heat?
