Well, that's one way of doing it!

It won't be raw though, after all this time, eggs cook very quickly, so it's not harmful to eat, even if it's a bit soggy!

Mars, I HATE the feeling of rubbing fat into flour, completely inspired by idea of making it with kitchen machine..!

Overmydeadbody · 02/06/2009 21:46

notart freeze the fat, then grate it into the flor ND MIX IT TOGETHER WITH A BUTTER KNIFE, YOU WON'T HAVE TO TOUCH IT THAT WAY![GRIN]

Ok, I could do that! You understand why I don´t like to do it by hand though, don´t you ; )

princessmel · 02/06/2009 21:48

Well we ate it.

It was okaaaay. Cooked too much ontop and the pastry not fab.

I will try again and blind bake.

Overmydeadbody · 02/06/2009 22:09

NoTart I completely understand.

Princess so sorry it turned out a bit meh. My mu always cooks her quiches at 160C for an hour and a half. I guess this is why she bakes them for so long.

As I usually make little ones (for just DS and I) they probably need less baking than a larger family size one.

omdb - I did blind bake first. I do like it hot but had to pick dd up from an afterschool club. I'll try the oil trick.

It was yummy I don't care that it was a bit soggy! (I'm not a perfect a cook, I'm a 'weel that was pretty nice cook')

piscesmoon · 02/06/2009 22:13

I always make my own-very easy and much nicer.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/06/2009 22:17

And gives you kudos in your family.....
though I did feel that using homemade yogrut was perhaps a little poncey!

Overmydeadbody · 02/06/2009 22:36

I'm of the same school of cooking as you then badbadkitten.
