I bought a rib of beef to have for dinner tonight but it's so hot here that I can't face putting the oven on. Is it possible to bbq it? It's only just over a kg in weight.

Do you know how they do it? I was thinking of putting it inside a cast iron pot on top as a fake oven. Is this what they do or do they put it on directly?

Just rub with garlic horseradish mustard place in roasting tin and put tin on grill. You need to cook with BBQ lid down for about 45 minutes. Best if you put damp wood chips on fire.

Actually, just ended up cooking it directly on the bbq and it was delish. Gave it an olive oil, mustard powder, salt & pepper coating first and just kept turning it every 5 mins.

Lovely.
