Crisp biscuit recipe needed

Can anyone give me a recipe for biscuits that have a good crunch but are plain or can be easily flavoured for variety.

They look yum but I need something that can be iced so it needs a smooth surface.

Might make those though too because they have oats in which make them officially Health Food.
