i wasn't sure were to put this post so thought i would put it in here.

i was chopping some garlic yesterday and now i just can not seem to get the smell off of my hands, and it is making me abit sick.

i was wondering if anyone know how i could get it off.

can anyone help??

Isn't rubbing your hands on stainless steel supposed to help or in a bicarb solution. You can buy those metal tablets to rub your hands on to get off cooking smells I think they're made of stainless steel.

Try rubbing your fingers with parsley; chewing parsley helps your breath to stop smelling too (so they say). I've never done it as I like the smell of garlic on my fingers when I've been chopping it, and it wears off once I've washed my hands a few times - well, I think it does anyway!

DH eats whole cloves raw. Sometimes I refuse to go near him, so I do sympathise with you at least a little bit!

Fresh lemon juice or just squeexing your fingers through half a lemon that you've already squeezed the juice out of.

It also works for getting the smell of fish out of fingers.
