Some of my family are coming up on sunday to go racing and we are hoping to take a picnic with us (will eat it at home beforehand if its horrid weather) and i was wondering what sort of thing everyone else puts in their picnics.
I am going to do sandwiches (egg/cold meat), Spanish omlette, nice crisps/cheese twists and i will make a plum tray bake.

Any more ideas?

Some good ideas in previous thread here.

My ham & cheese filled bread is in that thread and it is lovely.

I like to do a whole roast chicken, a few cheeses, crusty bread and a couple of salady things

Hi Clairey! Look, we are on the same thread again...

I like the sound of the ham and cheese filled bread, Stirling.

Lovely ideas
Mmm potato salad. Do you have a hint of garlic in the mayonaise?

Haha, yes it was me! No, no weight gain yet but I'm just eating away happily and not fretting too much. Well done to you, though!

You need some salad or veg and some fruit to go with that selection. Nice healthy stuff.

I do a blinding cous-cous salad by adding a few spoonfulls of pesto and some stock to the water I cook the cous-cous in, and then add some roasted peppars/sun-dried tomato/grilled chicken...
