Help - Freezing herbs!

I think I read on here that you can freeze left over fresh herbs?? I threw some in their opened packets (but cellotaped back closed) straight in to the freezer. Will they be 'normla' in terms of taste when I thaw them out and will I be able to chop them as normal??

They should be ok..... maybe pop them into sealed container?

My favourite way to freeze them is as follows....

-Chop up herbs [as they can be tricky and mega cold on your hands when chpping them frozen.
-Put into icecube trays
-Poor over some cold water
-pop in freezer
-when frozen, pop them out into sealable freezer bag

You can then just pour these into suff as required and they taste as delicious as when you picked them....

Normal in terms of taste, but they do go a bit crumbly, so not great if you want something very artistic (e.g. coriander crumbles rather than staying in sprigs). I don't bother putting them in water to freeze - just put them in a freezer bag and take out what I need.

Hi
Yeah, they should be fine. I think you can chop the herbs direct from the freezer without thawing too, as far I know it's even easier than chopping fresh herbs
