Right. I need inspiration for new recipes that DS will actually eat.

This is what he will eat, in the way of hot food:

Sausages, fish fingers, anythings breaded really, meatballs, baked beans, sweetcorn, potato in any format, omelette, noodles, ham, pasta, rice, cheese, cous cous, stuffed pasta, smooth cheese or tomato sauces with no 'bits' in it.

He's not too bad really, but I'm getting into a rut of serving up the same old stuff.

You'll notice that veg, except sweetcorn, is conspicuous by it's absence, but he'll eat a 'hidden veg' pasta sauce.

Any ideas?? TIA

How old is he?

will he eat chicken? thinking nugget type things, chicken and pasta with hidden veggie sauce same with rice,

Jojay · 17/05/2009 11:11

He's 2.6

He'll eat chicken nuggets and roast chicken, but not strips of chicken in a stir fry, say.

we roast carrots with oil and golden syrup, first time we offered them as "honey sweeties" then "carrot sweeties" now DS eats carrots. He also likes sweet potato mash, you can even blitz the sweet potato in the microwave and then mash it with a bit of butter, yummy with sour cream over it or with chicken legs. Have you tried broccoli cheese? If you smother it with cheese sauce a lot of kids with eat it. We often bulk ours up with potatoes and add a bit of mustard for a kick. We also do pancake day every now and then- spinach and chedder pancakes and whoever eats it all up gets a choc syrup/ lemon and sugar one for dessert!
