cuntish · 11/05/2009 19:22

i get 7 pints every other day, costs me £38 a month

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 11/05/2009 19:23

Only with the rest of our Tesco delivery

muppetgirl · 11/05/2009 19:23

costs a bit more but then I save on the extra crap I used to buy when popping into the supermarkets for a pint...

Plus better for environment as we have glass bottles that get washed out and reused. No plastic milk bottles. Ds 2 misses the lid collection though!

brimfull · 11/05/2009 19:23

yes we get a pint 4 times a week

more ££ than supermarket but I like to support the local dairy

Surfermum · 11/05/2009 19:23

We have Diary Crest too. They knocked on our door canvassing for customers. It's brilliant. I never have to go to the shops as I've run out of milk or bread, and I always have bread for dd's sandwiches on a Monday morning as they deliver really early.

It is slightly more expensive, but worth it IMO.

fruitshootsandheaves · 11/05/2009 19:24

yes we have moo juice delivered mon, wednesday and friday - 12 pints a week but need to up our order now.

changer22 · 11/05/2009 19:25

We get milk through the Riverford veg box. Enough for the week and freeze it.

In our area it's not Dairy Crest - we noticed people in our village had bottles on their doorsteps but we couldn't find anything about it anywhere, so dh asked at the corner shop and they told him the secret password (actually told him that it was the newsagent in the local town who ran it), so we went in there and asked.

mumblecrumble · 11/05/2009 19:28

I think we drinkg too much! (there's 2 adults + 2 children, 5 + 18 months)

flamingobingo · 11/05/2009 19:30

Riverford? We get Riverford delivered and they're fab. We don't get the milk too, but my friend does.

thirtysomething · 11/05/2009 19:44

I do, every day, but it's rubbish! Am amzed how quickly the milk goes off - often well before the date printed on the lid. Plus the milkman calls once a month for his money at the most inconvenient time of night (tea on stove, am on 'phone, kids about to get in the bath, all at the same time) and just lingers on the step, wanting a long conversation. I'd go back to supermarket milk any day but DH won't let me - thinks probably quite rightly we shuld support local businesses...
