we had a lovely pot roast beef lunch today. it was in a wine type sauce. not loads left over but enough to make it a waste to throw it away. i have it sitting in my fridge with no ideas of what to do with it. anyone else know what to do? as it is in the sauce i am wondering about casseroles etc? it cant very easily be put as cold meat in a sandwich really.

Freeze it.
Get it out in a couple of weeks or so.
Put into slow cooker.
Serve with veg and yorkshire puds.

cottage pie? - mince it once it's cold; keep the sauce, yum

I tend to use the leftover meat with a salad.

And the freeze the leftover sauce and use it either as a gravy with sausages or summat or as a base for the next sauce.

Either that or do it with jacket potatoes and lots of veg to bulk it out.

Or save it for leftover night and 1 or 2 can have that and others can have other left overs.
