gravy granules some help please??

If a recipe requires gravy granules is it ok to give to my 8.5 month old if i use the low salt ones??? so far i have been making seperate meals but would like to be able to start making one meal if it isn't suitable do any of you use any alternatives?

I would worry too much, if using low-salt, and using only a little. You can buy children's gravy (aptimil do it i think?), but by all accounts it's not great. Could you use vegetable stock? Or just leave it out? I can't think of any recipes that I use which require gravy granules (other than gravy of course )

I'm not too sure the Low Salt ones are low enough,think they are just "lower".

Have you seen those "sauces" that are for babies.Think they are to add to a casserole etc. but are more suitable.

I just had "natural gravy" with adding some water to the meat,also helped to cool it.

I'll see if I can find some examples of the sauces and link them.
