left over rice

what can i make with left over rice that isn't rice pudding or egg fried rice.

This Spanish Chicken recipe says to use packes of ready cooked rice but you can use any leftover.

Or make a Veggie Pilau.

Or:

freeze it.

Next time you need it defrost it at room temp. Then bung it in the microwave with a couple of DROPS of water, cover it and heat at medium power til piping hot.

Never thought of freezing it for future use. We dont have a microwave, I hope that steaming it also works.

yes, steaming it would probably work fine.

Just remember rice is one of those foods you must re-heat to absolutely piping hot not just warm.

I always freeze in small pots then microwave for lunch at work along with bits of left over curry/chilli.

Definitely cool down & freeze quickly though, can be prone to food poisoning bugs if left lying about &/or not reheated to piping.

Stuffed peppers with tomato sauce and cheese.
