It's Friday, so WHAT'S FOR DINNER?!!!

I always get stuck as to what to cook etc at the weekend, even more so during the week.

So what's for dinner? Meal ideas please!!

Spaghetti with chilli, tomatoes and scallops.

RJPargy - DD and Katz's DD1 love mussels! They would eat buckets full

Katz - feeling a lot better; the power of antibiotics kicking in Not really supposed to be on the wine I guess, but 5 days of no wine is enough!

Thai fishcakes with cucumber relish.

Unfortunately the kitchen still reeks of vinegar from making the relish 2 hours ago

Being lazy and popping off to Ikea for meatballs. So wrong but so goooood.

takeaway here too. not sure if indian or pizza.....

loving hula's mussles. hmm - wonder what my dd would think of mussels. she's tried most things (likes snails for eg) but not tried those....

Roast chicken (with a lemon and a handful of thyme up the jacksy), roast veg, stuffing, proper gravy and mucho ice cold white

roast pork dinner tyonight. no vino, got to be at work by 6am tomorrow.ouch

Yummy Yummy Skate wings with homemade Tartare sauce, crushed new potatoes and salad.

Children are having pork chops with mash potato and corn on the cob followed by banoffee pie. DH and I are having homemade asparagus soup with fresh baked rolls, seared teryaki tuna with sesame and soy dressed noodles, and ginger stir fried sugar snap peas and carrots, then banoffee pie.

Takeaway pizza tonight! Dads treat for us.

DC plus one friend having hotdogs for dinner (their choice tonight)
I am hoping for a hot Goanese curry from the local Indian Brasserie plus a naan

and lots of wine!

dcs have had meatballs with tomato and spinach sauce and pasta. dh and I will probably have a prawn and asparagus stir fry curry thing (recipe in this month's Easy Living)

Delia peppercorn steak & chips for DH amd steak and veggies for me (on a lo carb diet!!) then jelly and cream and a box bottle of white wine .....when the littlies go to bed....

homemade beef curry with poppadoms.

I had a duck breast that had been rubbed with various herbs and garlic,cooked medium rare.
I served it with asparagus that was roasted with lemon juice, olive oil and balsamic vinegar and also potatoes sauteed in the fat from the duck and sprinkled with sea salt, pepper and rosemary.

It was lovely and I'm ridiculously pleased with myself that I timed it perfectly as I'm not very good at that and end up with a lukewarm meal.

BBQ - inlaws coming over.

I am ill and it involves dp doing everything.

Children - lasagne and salad
Me and DP - chilli, potato wedges and sour cream.

Banoffee pie.

Wow, seeing it all written down makes me feel even more unhealthy

Had it, roast turkey, jacket spuds (peeled) broccoli, mixed veg and gravy. Everyone likes it so was easy.
