help me make flap jacks - where am I going wrong???

I used to make flap jacks and they were lovely, but lately when I make them they won't come off the baking paper - which I do grease very well. I suspect it must be too much golden syrup as the flap jacks go quite hard too (yummy if you can peel enough paper off, but i don't imagine very good for the teeth!).

Has anybody got a fail safe recipe I can use to avoid them going too crunchy and so that they will come off the paper easily?
TIA.

i only cook mine for about 15 minutes then leave them for ages to set.

it's trial and error with timing ime!

oh, yes I'm probably leaving them in too long! of course, I got the recipe off here, but it's scrawled on some paper and I guess at the timing, usually 25m! will try less time, thanks.
