Remember primary school yummy cake ?!

When I was at primary school we used to get this cakey / biscuity thing which was brown with a shiny topping. It was cut in squares

It wasn't made with breadcrumbs so it wasn't treacle tart, I want to know what it was!!

The top was slightly gloopy but wasn't banoffee (that was invented after I finished school LOL)

Any ideas?
