any ideas for beans that aren't stewy/baked beany type things?
we're on a minor economy drive this month and i'm trying to work my way through various bags of dried beans. just stretched a single lamb shank between 4 of us in a beany stewy type thing and dd1 didn't like it (but full marks for trying), which i could have predicted as she doesn't like my home made baked beans either [frustrated face]. i think i'll inflict something similar on her again with belly pork later in the week [poor dd] but does anyone have any suggestions for other things i could do that she might stand a chance of actually liking?
i've done beanburgers in the past and she's not mad keen on those either and i always find that kind of thing is much better with tinned than dried beans.
we're going to sprout some, which should be fun and there's a faint possibility she'll like those.
anything else i could try? have all sorts - little greeny (mung?) ones, little black ones, borlotti and black eye up to big fat butter beans. i think tbh i'm the only one in the house that actually likes any of them although dd1 is still at that lovely try-anything-once stage and dp wouldn't dare object
