what to do with dried beans?

any ideas for beans that aren't stewy/baked beany type things?

we're on a minor economy drive this month and i'm trying to work my way through various bags of dried beans. just stretched a single lamb shank between 4 of us in a beany stewy type thing and dd1 didn't like it (but full marks for trying), which i could have predicted as she doesn't like my home made baked beans either [frustrated face]. i think i'll inflict something similar on her again with belly pork later in the week [poor dd] but does anyone have any suggestions for other things i could do that she might stand a chance of actually liking?

i've done beanburgers in the past and she's not mad keen on those either and i always find that kind of thing is much better with tinned than dried beans.

we're going to sprout some, which should be fun and there's a faint possibility she'll like those.

anything else i could try? have all sorts - little greeny (mung?) ones, little black ones, borlotti and black eye up to big fat butter beans. i think tbh i'm the only one in the house that actually likes any of them although dd1 is still at that lovely try-anything-once stage and dp wouldn't dare object

A kind of tuscan bean soup that you could eat with nice home made bread?
I think there was an enormous bean thread somewhere in the past. Will try and find it for you.

hmm dd1 not keen on soup either tbf i've told her we're going to have to be more adventurous this month, and bless her heart she's trying, but i feel i should limit the number of things i present her that i absolutely know she won't like to maybe 3 a week at the most i'm a mean mummy

Am liking the pancetta and white bean pasta ideas - nice with risotto too.
I love beans me, was just going on about how much yesterday [sad foodie emoticon]

i'm getting a mental block at bean pasta/risotto - carbs with carbs feels wrong...

curry

for dd: boil the beans, cook in a tomato sauce, puree them...add this to almost any meals she has (stew/pizza/pasta/etc)
