Baby Meals you can serve cold

hi

I'm away abroad in 2 weeks with my 10month old. As we'll be out and about I wont have access to a microwave to re-heat meals.

Do you have any meals i can make and serve cold or are there any meals i can make in batches, freeze and serve???

My daughter is very good with lumps. Things like toast, finger foods are no problem for her

So far I've come up with:

Cottage Cheese, pineapple and cold chicken
Sandwiches
Yogurts
Avacado and banana
Banana and mashed up digestive

Thanks

I'll have a few jars with me but I like home cooked meals for her

When my two were around this sort of age I used make them a pasta salad in a tupperware box to take out on trips- cold cooked pasta with cubes of cheese or chunks of chicken & some veg or fruit - DD liked cucumber, but DS's favourite was raw peas - I used to put them in frozen & they would be thawed by lunchtime.

I bet she wouldn't care if you served up any of her food cold TBH. I imagine a lot of what we serve warm is stone cold before they get round to eating it anyway.

agree with provincial lady, my ds used to eat cubes of cold veg when we were out.

my poor third child would eat cold baby food from jars at 10 months

now she's 11 months she only wants to eat what her siblings are eating, hey ho!

does she like couscous? we do that with bits a lot.

tassisssss think I would want to eat what everyone else was having if the alternative was cold baby food jars (I must be a really crappy mum, even my pfb had those sometimes!)

Boiled eggs?
Cold peas/sweetcorn
Pasta salads
Couscous
Cheese cubes
Breadsticks/ rice cakes

I reckon you could serve almost anything cold tbh- take a small cool bag with you and you'll be fine! You'll probably find you'll be eating lunch and be able to feed your dd bits and pieces from your plate anyway.
