Chocolate Icing recipe

I am looking for a chocolate icing recipe to pipe onto fairycakes with a giant nozzle. I don't want normal dull chocolate buttercream icing. I am after dark shiney icing. It is for a friend who is in hospital.

Ganache is dark and shiny but not pipeable. If you want to pipe, I think you'll need to do buttercream. You can make it with half butter/ half shortening if you prefer.
