can do. ive done it before. chuck them (make sure the potatoes are very dry!!) high heat for a couple of minute, then low heat to cook them through then high heat for a few minutes to crisp them up.

cut into chip shapes, parboil, toss in a little oil on a greased baking tray and put them in the oven

easier if you have spray oil cos you can just spray em

they end up a cross between baked / roast but taste pretty good

Yup, just chop them up and put them in a roasting tin. Don't move them around too much until they are well cooked or they will go smushy. And use loads of oil, cos if you're going to have chips you should have real ones.

I'd just go to the chippie.

You could try chopping the potatoes into chips, par boil them and then shallow fry in as much oil as cover them. Might go a bit like roast potatoes.

twice fry them. once on lower heat until soft and then remove to cool. then plunge into hotter fat until they colour and crisp.
