She's having a cupcake stand instead of a cake and we've all been given a colour to make. I'm pretty sure Nigella had a lavender recipe somewhere.

My worry is the sprig of lavender she wants on top seeing as it's not in flower yet-any suggestions?????

She definitely doesn't want purple sprinkles has to be some kind of flower.

I've got 4 weeks!!!!!!

And where can you get those nice icing colours Nigella uses?

You can get dried lavender www.diyfavourboxes.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=268&currency=GBP

Google dried lavender and you should come up with other alternatives. It's perfectly safe as decoration, although won't taste particularly nice, so best used as a garnish only.

Waitrose do bags of lavender sugar.

Try a garden centre - I saw some lovely butterfly lavender on flower last week.
