Large party - how many strawberries do I need?

Am planning party for the weekend ... we'll have 32 adults and 15 children. Thought strawberries and cream for pudding but how many supermarket sized strawberry punnets will we need ... and how much cream also for that matter?

Will chop strawbs probably into quarters if that makes any difference.

I'm so hopeless at catering for the right amount I'll either end up with barely enough for 10 or plenty for 100.

Thanks!

well for 10 people (4 adults and 6 strawberry loving older children) 3 large punnets, cut into quarters, gave me 11 portions. Assuming you have 15 children some of whom are small I would say 9 would be enough. Only 2 of the children had cream, so 4 cartons...?

Good point - children don't seem to like cream (very sensible). Will get 10 punnets and 4 big cartons of cream.

Thanks!

Icecream for the children, as an alternative to cream? If you buy some cornets too you'll need fewer bowls!
